While in London, I met a gentleman in research at Morgan Stanley and his reaction to 3Lunches was immediately enthusiastic. “It’s like short term mentoring!” he said. “I do it all the time, and I’ve always had a mentor throughout my career.”

As a former economics professor, he was completely used to the idea of coaching students and loved the idea that the coaching process could be used to share information and experience outside of a school or work setting. “It’s a great idea! People really need this kind of help right now.”

He wanted me to inform him when the blog was up and offered to share the idea with his friends. Maybe they’ll be doing 3Lunches in Britain after all? I’m sure some of those harried investment bankers could use a bit of coaching.
