A #TwitterLove Connection

by Carol Quinn

3Lunches is meant to facilitate sharing between two people, and there is simply nothing more wonderful than when a person reaches out and offers time, knowledge, and experience to you. There’s no other way to describe it; it feels like love.

It happened to me just last week. Iggy Pintado, author of the new book, Connection Generation, found me on Twitter, read the blog, loved the idea of 3Lunches and offered to help in any way he could. We arranged a time that suited our schedules and had the first of our “3Lunches by phone.” Yes, it wasn’t a face-to-face, but when you need a friend-coach and he happens to be in Australia, the phone will just have to do.

3Lunches is adapting.

As well as offering suggestions of people who might be interested in spreading the word about 3Lunches, Iggy discussed strategy, principles of starting a movement, and reminded me of the core principle and unique attribute of 3Lunches: altruism. This giving, sharing thing between people is what we’re trying to foster. 3Lunches is simply the form we’ve created so that the exchange can take place.

Iggy also made an interesting suggestion. In the way we’ve developed the 3Lunches/Table Manners, coaches offer homework or tasks to a coachee after every lunch. Iggy suggested that “homework” be converted to 3Actions – in keeping with our 3 theme. I like it. Anny likes it. What do you think?
